Senior Producer Noah Heller reveals in an interview how Call of Duty 5 has to be better than Modern Warfare, or risk damaging Call of Duty forever.

After it was revealed that Call of Duty 5: World at War would be returning to a World War II setting, there has been concerns that developer Treyarch had not made a wise choice, especially given the huge success of its predecessor, Modern Warfare.

It seems as though Senior Producer for the game, Noah Heller shares the same concern. He says that in order for it not to damage the franchise, the game must redefine the World War 2 genre and be the best shooter.

Modern Warfare opened the door to so many people new to Call of Duty.

The game built great fertile ground for us to start on and if we’re going to say: ‘Look it’s Christmas, here’s another Call of Duty as you loved it last year’, then we need to make sure the game is high quality or people won’t trust what Call of Duty is.
