Infinity Ward has stated that Call of Duty 4 tops out at 1.3 million players every day, and this is just on the Xbox 360 platform. This may come as no surprise to anyone who follows the news posted by Major Nelson, where a weekly “top 10″ are posted for the most popular Live games for the week. For the past few weeks, Call of Duty 4 has claimed the top spot, besting out the heavy hitter from Bungie, Halo 3.There are even more on the other platforms [PS3 and PC], but we just don’t have the same numbering system. Overall, even without the other consoles, we are beating the competition. PS3 numbers are monstrously huge. No other game has come close, either online current, or total unique users in a day.Impressive!
