Activision and Infinity Ward have released an update that fixes an exploit in multiplayer matches.

According to Activision the modest 39MB download includes the following changes:

Bullet() Fixed an exploit that allowed players to access certain console dvars during multi-player matchesBullet() Fixed a crash that could occur when a Chinatown Sabotage match would go into over-timeBullet() Fixed a bug where the MP icons (Bomb, Defend, Capture, etc) were always showing up as English regardless of the install language
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare patch v1.7 may be used in official ClanBase matches as long as both teams agree. Until Linux binaries are released patch v1.6 will remain as default for clan matches.
