A second-time Featured Mod here at Planet Half-Life, Fistful of Frags, the only released Western-themed modification for Half-Life two, has built upon it’s strong base with their latest Beta 1.4. Thomas “Editor321″ Rogers, someone who isn’t a native to Western-themed games or movies, took the chance on FoF.
So now that we know what the heck is going on, does it work? Well yes, yes it does. The game plays quickly with rarely any points of silence over the dusty well designed maps. Finding the objectives or other players to gun down is easy and does not take minutes. To my surprise there was some teamwork to be had, especially when going after or protecting a loot cache. There would be times where entire teams would be huddling around a cache while one of the ten person team grabbed the golden coins creating a formidable opposition to the team trying to stop them from running away with their whiskey allowance.So whether you grew up saying calling all of your friends “pilgrim” or you’ve been brainwashed by hip-hop music videos, you should definitely check out the full review, and of course, the official website as well.
