Our last review of Jailbreak! came off as overly negative, so after much retooling and hours of replaying, Thomas “Editor321″ Rogers decided to rewrite the retooled review showing off a few more positives that the mod has to offer.
Jailbreak is a unique modification with dynamic gameplay. While the universe of Half-Life 2 is still present in the form of the Combine and Rebel player models, it is able to remove you from that area of play by the use of very different map locations and jail traps. The content of the game is good, but I look forward to the different map environments the most. There are maps that resemble a classic Quake 3 CTF and oddball wacky maps like an Elizabethan town in England. Who the hell does that?
