We announced last Saturday that, according to the Official Playstation Magazine, there was indeed a port of Left 4 Dead being developed for the Playstation 3, and as with The Orange Box, was being done so by Electronic Arts.

In an e-mail from Doug Lombardi, Public Relations for Valve Software, he has confirmed this to be false. Where the Official Playstation Magazine got their information we don’t know, but I think I speak for everyone when I say that’s some damn fine journalism there, OPM. Keep up the misleading work!

With that being said, it’s official that there is no Playstation 3 version of Left 4 Dead currently in development. Sorry Playstation fans.
