This week has been a busy one in the world of Unreal Tournament 3, here is a brief recap of the latest news from Unreal Tournament 3.
The Ageia PhysX mod pack is finally available for download on Ageia’s website. With this mod users can create maps with destructible environment and real physics. There is an in-depth article over at PC Performance that covers both the included maps as well as hardware performance and more.

It is possible to play the mod without a PhysX hardware card, but the benchmarks shows unplayable performance. With the card it gets better, but it still gives much worse FPS than normal play without the mod. Ageia claims that a quad core is a requirement for smooth game play, as the benchmark was made with a dual core. The card is available in stores for around 140
