That’s right, version 0.5 of Half-Life 2 themed strategy mod Half-Life 2 Wars is ready for download. The HL2 Wars team have clearly been working hard since their last update in March. The new version adds two new maps (screenshots below), base building for both factions (Combine and Resistance), and a number of smaller aesthetic enhancements.

Improved balance between units
Improved various visualsThe next objective for the team is to add multiplayer functionality, which they say will be introduced in the next big update. For the full change log you’ll need to download version 0.5. There are links to mirrors over on the HL2 Wars website.
