An update is available in Beta form for the Steam client. The changes are as includes:
Steam Client
Fixed case where Steam could use 100% of a CPU if your Friend was playing a game your client did not know about
Fixed games reporting 0% downloaded
Fixed rare case where the client could not establish a connection
Improved install support for gamesTo access the beta, start your Steam client and open the File > Settings menu. Within the first tab (Accounts), select “Change…” under “Beta participation” and select the “Steam Client Candidate.”
